Damage scores at the end of missions
It's hard to get masters when some people barely do anything (like when the warrior doesn't even attack and asks to give him your drop right in the middle of the battle ) but the leader can't pick them out, so how about whenever a mission ends or fails, players will receive a window with all the players' names and a number showing their damage output. Evidently, the armor would have to be ignored in this calculation or some people will always attack the squichies while everybody else attacks the warrior who is after the group's casters.
This would really help people see who isn't really helping and who is.

GW is not about equipping 8 skills that make your enemies health bar go down (or 8 skills that make your allies health go up if you are a monk).
There is e-denial, warders, orders, tank aggro control with stances, prot, buffs, hexes, degen, condition spreading, condition removal etc.
That mesmer who is shutting down an ememy healer is doing a lot more then that warrior who is banging away on him.
Damage is not the only way to measure how well somebody contributed to a team. Having a chart like this would really be detramental to support roles ie OMG you ele wasn't casting MS ZOMG! but instead was a flashbot/warder spreading blindness.

It causes more problems than it solves, IMO. People will not pay much attention to utility skills like interrupts, self-heals, resses, and will instead max out their damage skills. For example, a barrager will ignore trying to interrupt an elementalist mob and will just keep bashing barrage instead in an attempt to "beat" the other players.

but this wouldn't even begin to show how helpful a player truely is. For example, a healing monk will be imensly helpful but deal very little damage. Same could be said for interupting rangers/mesmers, BiP necros, protection monks or any number of builds that are not designed for pure damage dealing.

Then to make this idea better, there should still be a chart, but more information should be included. After a mission you could realize:
"This person only delt 65 damage during this mission, but she was a monk. However, they healed 2,386 health and negated 540 damage. This tank absorbed a possible of 2,591 damge, but armor buffs negated 1,356 of that damage. This Ranger inturrupted 39 spells, and 3 signets.
If you added more information, you would see many aspects of a person. That way if someone has zero's across the board, you knew they didn't do much of anything.

Much simpler to actually watch what the player is doing in combat than adding some charts.

It'd be cool if it had a little top-score table at the end where it showed you the top 5 highest-damaging attacks and the players that dished it out, and what skill they used

I'd extend this suggestion to reflect amount of damage healed, skills interrupted or knocked down, opponents killed, conditions inflicted, hexes landed, etc... just to give other non-damage classes visibility as well.

Lets see.
I run my Ineptitude mesmer with epidemic.
Cast Ineptitude on Oni -> epidemic 3 more.
That's somewhat near 120-140 damage.
And loads more prevented. How would you calculate that?
Same for Throw Dirt on Ranger. No damage, but prevented a load if thrown at the right enemy.
When I am leader, most of the time I know who's doing the job and who's not.
And most of the time, others in the team also notice.
When we fail, most of the time more than one will message 'kick <name>', so it's obvious who was not doing his job.

And Monks never get rated.
Unless they're smiters.
ohhh..I forgot the wand/staff damage that they sometimes use between healings. :P

Disarm76, if you weren't like everybody else on these forums, and tried to read a few posts, I suggested that the chart contain more then just damage information. The... why am I posting this if no one will read this?
(By the way, how did you just spread 3 Ineptitudes? Certaintly not with Epidemic. Ineptitude is a hex, not a condition.)
Bah, this is a cool idea, but will never happen.

yikes i don't like the idea of reading some spread chart or whatever at the end of every mission. The best idea is to pay attention if you're very concerned.
However doing x amount of dmg or whatever.. would be a fun added mini game of some sort.
But overall:

I like the idea have the chart have the players names and everything they did with the following catagories:
Damage (includes total life degened), Healed, Animated, interrupted, casted, deaths, and resurrects
That pretty much covers everything. Everyone's happy, they get to see how they did and yeah it misses a few things but who honestly cares, it's better than nothing. Obviously a monk is going to have more healed as opposed to a mesmer who might have some other flimsy self heal, but you at least get to see statistics which I think would be pretty interesting and helpful. Definitely agree.

I like it.. but not on the damage out put part.
I hope there are better way to "score" your performance (addtion and subtraction of your hp, energy usage, damage output, healing, inter upte, etc), and would be a good way to show as a summary window at the end of mission (and more importantly, at end of PvP)
Maybe some "titles" on those charts too, like that in Wolfenstine: ET (which I was just playing, a bit of side note) like Best Healer, Most Death... and other fun ones too.. like Most Drops, Best Drops, Most Chatty, Crybaby, etc...
Anyhow.. good idea, could use some improvments.
